Day 1 - Monday:
Evening departure from Reykjavík domestic airport,  arrival at Vagar airport in the Faroe Islands in the late evening. Transfer by shuttle bus to hotel in Torshavn.

Day 2 - Tuesday:
Whole day excursion to the 5 northern islands. We begin by driving over to Streymoy and Esturoy to Leirkvik and then via the underwater sea tunnel to Klaksvik. Along the way we look at the Viking settlements at Leirvik, the Christianskirken church in Klasvik and on the way back we stop at a woollen mill and art gallery. Lunch is included in the excursion - drinks are not included.

 

Day 3 - Wednesday:
Half day trip in the morning over the mountains to Vestmanna from where you go an exciting boat tour to the  fantastic bird cliffs. The boat sails alongside the vertical rock walls and into the small sounds and deep grottoes. After the boat tour you will visit the ancient Viking settlement in Kvívík before returning to Tórshavn.

Afternoon free to explore the town, shop for high quality woollen goods or enjoy a cup of coffe in one of the  coffee shops.

Day 4 - Thursday:

Morning free for optional tours.

In the afternoon a 4 hour coach & walking guided tour around Tórshavn, which gives you a general idea of the town, its people and history. The tour takes you to the charming, old quarter in Reyni, Tinganes and the fortress of Skansin.

Day 5 - Friday:
Morning free for optional tours.

Check out of the hotel /guesthouse and transfer to Vagar airport in time for the departure of your late afternoon flight from Vagar to Reykjavík domestic airport.
