| We start dogsledging from Constable Point going north across Hurry Fjord as far as Kalkdalen Valley. We can enjoy the beautiful views of mountains and glaciers on the way. Through the valley we travel to the east coast of Liverpool Land following the coastline towards Ittooqqortoormiit village.
Overnight accommodation will be in tents or huts on the way.
Temperatures may be around –25°C.
The scenery is breathtaking - high pointy mountains completely without any vegetation. On the way we might observe wild life, such as seals, arctic foxes, little auks and perhaps even polar bear. The hunters may take the chance to hunt seal for dog food.
The last 3 nights will be spent in a private house in Kap Tobin (Uunartoq – about 7 km south of Ittoqqortoormiit village, across the bay). From there we will take short day trips hiking in the area around Kap Tobin and have a chance to visit a hot spring where you can even take a bath.
We will also have one full day in Ittoqqortoormiit village so we can observe the daily life in a typical Inuit community. There is a possibility to visit the local museum or the handicrafts workshop.
On last day we return to Constable Point airport by helicopter and fly back to Iceland.
