As it has become a tradition in the last 8 years the people of Ittoqqortoormiit were sent a present for Christmas from Iceland.
The Christmas tree which was lit up on the first advent is a gift from Ittoqqortoormiit’s friendship town Dalvík in North Iceland.
As fruit is not something to be taken for granted in the village, Nonni Travel sent a package of apples for each of the 120 children in the village.
Transportation from Akureyri to Constable Point was arranged by Norlandair.
