Part Time position – Travel consultant

We are expanding our team and are looking for a service-oriented and positive-minded individual in a part-time position who enjoys working in tourism and has fun selling our destinations and products. As a new team member you will be working in our Sales & Operation department.
Job description:
• Be an important contact person for our local suppliers and tour operator partners from all over the world
• Handle travel requests from end customers as well as tour operator partners worldwide
• Create inspiring offers for FITs and groups to Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands
• Book travel arrangements for our FIT and group clients
• Establish new business relationships and maintain existing ones
• Participate in tourism workshops, travel fairs and sales calls (Local & wordwide)
• Be a creative part of our product development to create exciting new products
• Support the team in marketing (writing blogs, newsletters, our Social Media channels and updating webpage)
• Being curious and open to work on other projects related to the travel industry

• have working experience in tourism
• are service-minded and ready to go the extra mile for our customers
• can work independently and solution oriented
• are creative and open to think out of the box
• have good computer skills and knowledge of common tourism software and apps and open to learn new technology and systems
• Fluent English skills is a must, any other language a bonus
• BONUS: you know one or all of our destinations (Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands) in and out and have experience in creating travel plans for those countries
• BONUS: you are familiar with and connected in key partner markets of our target group for our destinations
• BONUS: experience in handling allocations, event planning and/or project planning
Working hours: part-time position (50-70%), office working hours. Starting date: as soon as possible.
The Nonni Travel office is in Akureyri and we prefer our new team member to be located in Akureyri.
