Itinerary

This wonderful half-day shore excursion from Húsavík takes you to all the highlights of north Iceland. It´s the perfect option for cruise passengers docking at the small port toiwn of Húsavík. Our guides greet you at the harbor and together we embark on an exhilarating adventure to some of the region´s most spectaculur natural wonders.

We visit Dettifoss Waterfall, believed to be Europe´s most powerful waterfall. You hear the raging torrents before you see the falls, such is is the raging force of the falls which plunge 44m to the canyon below. No trip in Iceland is complete without witnessing a geothermal region, with the Námaskarð area featuring steaming mud-pools, boiling hot-springs, and other features. We also visit Ásbyrgi, a remarkable horse-shoe shaped canyon, formed around 10,000 years ago due to glacial flooding. Admire the sheer canyon walls surrounding a serene forest paths.
